Regulations Governing the Use of the Tartu Institute Archives at Tartu College
1. The archival material in the Tartu Institute Archives may be accessed and used on site only if a research program is presented to the Manager of the Library and Archives.
2. Access to material in a particular archive may be limited by the written agreement between the donor and the Archive. In addition, access will be governed by applicable Ontario laws governing privacy and the release of personal information.
3. The Manager has the right to decide what material may be made available to researchers. In the case of material which may be deemed sensitive, the Board of Directors of Tartu Institute will make the final decision.
4. Researchers can use the Archives during official hours or by special arrangement with the Manager.
5. No original material may be removed from the Archives by users. Copies may be made by users with the permission of the Manager and on payment of the prescribed fee. In copying, account has to be taken of all applicable copyright laws.
6. Copies of material in the Archives may be made available to other archives and libraries upon request and with the approval of the Manager, who should consult the Board of Directors of Tartu Institute if the material is deemed sensitive. The Board of Directors may allow the lending of original material to other archives and libraries by special agreement.
