Library Regulations

Regulations Governing the Use of Material in the Tartu Institute Library at Tartu College

1. The Library is a research and archival library. Hence, no printed material or other Library holdings may be borrowed by persons using the Library, except by special permission of the Manager of the Library and Archives.

2. The Library may be used during official hours or by special arrangement with the Manager.

3. Users of the Library do not generally have direct access to the holdings. Materials identified through the catalogue will be brought to the user. With the express permission of the Manager, users may be granted access to the holdings.

4. By paying the required fee, Library material may be photocopied in the Library, taking into account all applicable copyright laws and if the process does not damage the material.

5. Photographs are available as copies of digitized images and as prints upon payment of the appropriate fee. The original photographs may be viewed with the express permission of the Manager.

6. Material will generally be sent to other libraries in the form of photocopies. Original may be lent if special arrangements are made with the Manager and after consultation with the Board of Directors of Tartu Institute.
